Would you continue to wear flip flops if they had holes in the sole?

I had a friend who worn flip flops even after they had worn holes in the sole. She only worn them when she could not be barefoot. The flip flops she worn developed holes in them rather quickly. She would continue to wear them around. I asked her why she continued to wear them after the had holes, she told me they dont bother her, they where only shoes. Have you ever worn flip flops with holes in the sole?

Reply:for me, those things only start becoming comfortable after they are worn in.... and develop the holes...so i don%26#039;t wear them any more. but seriously, they are her feet... if she wants to wear them with holes, what is the problem?
Reply:No, and I think that wearing flip flops all the time is really unattractive, definitely one of the worst style statements since those big chunky black shoes with the single large band across the top (open toe and heel) - ick!
Reply:She is somehow neurotically attached to them, she should have them bronzed and get new ones...a 1.50USD around here.

I think it could be unsanitary and wearing flip flops with holes in them is a step above being bare feet, but just barely.





I would buy her a new pair as a gift, since they aren%26#039;t very expensive.. also, with cooler weather coming maybe, she will retire the flip flops for shoes that are in better condition.
Reply:I love flip flops, but not with holes. I have never worn any shoes long enough to make a hole through them. I also love being barefoot. Usually at the end of the summer season flip flops are on sale.
Reply:Doesn%26#039;t she worry about getting a wart or stepping on something equally painful? She should chuck them and get some real shoes! Flip flops only look good when you%26#039;re at the pool anyway...
Reply:Time to get new ones in my opinion. You could get slivers in your feet really easy if you have holes in your shoes or walk without shoes at all. Flip flops are so cheap. You can get them as cheap as 2 bucks. If it were me, I would buy her new ones if she wouldn%26#039;t.
